We’ve all been there—heart racing, stomach in knots, thoughts spiraling in a dozen directions. Anxiety can feel like an enemy, something we need to fight, suppress, or escape. But what if we’ve been looking at it all wrong? What if, instead of being a sign that something is wrong with us, anxiety is actually a messenger?
Anxiety vs. Intuition: Learning the Difference
Anxiety and intuition are both deeply felt experiences, and at times, they can feel eerily similar. They both create sensations in the body, grab our attention, and demand a response. But the key difference? Anxiety spirals. Intuition clarifies.
Anxiety feels like static noise, an overwhelming flood of "what ifs."
Intuition feels like a knowing, a quiet but firm voice guiding you in a certain direction.
Anxiety keeps you stuck in fear. Intuition offers a way forward.
Rather than suppressing anxiety, what if we started listening? Not to the fear itself, but to the deeper message beneath it.

A Simple Practice: Turning Anxiety Into Insight
Next time you feel anxious, try this:
Pause & Breathe – Instead of immediately reacting, take a deep breath. Slow your exhale. Let yourself settle.
Locate It in Your Body – Anxiety often has a physical home—your chest, stomach, throat. Where do you feel it most?
Ask It a Question – Instead of resisting it, get curious: What are you trying to tell me? Is there something you’ve been ignoring? A truth you’ve been avoiding?
Listen Without Judgment – You don’t have to have the answer right away. Just sit with the feeling. Let it unfold. Trust that your body is not working against you—it’s working for you.
Your Body Is Your Guide
Emotional alchemy is about transforming what feels overwhelming into something useful, something healing. When we shift from fearing anxiety to understanding it, we reclaim our power. Instead of staying stuck, we move forward—with clarity, with courage, and with trust in ourselves.
